We are thrilled to share a monumental update for our Nevada Science Olympiad community in Clark County: at this evening’s meeting, the Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees officially approved the negotiated agreement updates!

As part of this update, the Clark County Education Association (CCEA) has revised Article 37 (Extra Pay for Extra Duty Schedule) to formally include Science Olympiad as an approved extra-duty activity across all three levels: Elementary, Middle, and High School.

It has been a long time coming, but our dedicated head coaches will finally be compensated for the countless hours they devote to mentoring students, organizing teams, and preparing for competition.

Thank you to the CCEA, the CCSD Board of School Trustees, our school administrators, and—above all—the amazing educators who advocated tirelessly for this recognition. Your commitment powers the future of STEM in Nevada!
